Rheem RP14 All-Electric Heat Pump Package
A practical route to heating and cooling.
Pair an RP14AY heat pump with an RH2TY air handler and the specified electric heat kit. This package family gives homeowners an all-electric option to compare with RP15 and RD16 systems.

THE PARTS OF THE PACKAGE

Heat-pump cooling and heating.

Indoor coil, airflow, and backup heat.
The air handler includes the indoor coil. Your proposal identifies the thermostat and electric heat kit.
The components shown explain this package family. The approved written proposal defines the equipment and work included for your home.
UNDERSTAND YOUR OPTIONS
Homeowners who need a complete all-electric replacement and want to understand the tradeoffs before moving up the lineup. We compare the actual equipment combination, installation needs, and controls in the home.
The full model number matters, including the outdoor unit’s staging. Backup heat is selected for the application. We do not assume every RP14 capacity has identical features or that a larger electric heat kit is automatically better.
The exact capacity and model numbers, indoor/outdoor match, thermostat, installation scope, and applicable warranties belong on your proposal. Duct changes, electrical work, drains, venting, accessories, and labor coverage should be clear before you approve the job. An equipment-family page is not a substitute for that home-specific scope.
We compare the certified rating of the actual matched system. SEER2 describes seasonal cooling; HSPF2 describes heat-pump heating; AFUE describes gas-furnace fuel conversion. These measure different things. A higher rating is not a guarantee of a particular bill or a fix for poor ductwork.
A SIMPLE LOOK AT ENERGY COSTS
Start with a 12-SEER system and see an approximate annual energy-cost difference. No technical measurements needed. Not sure about your system? Leave the example selected and we’ll help you refine it.
This estimates operating costs, not the right equipment size for your home.
Heating compares an existing heat pump with the new matched heat pump. Electric backup heat is excluded.
Local rate examples are filled in. Change them if you know your utility rates or current equipment ratings.
“Typical example” assumes 1,200 equivalent full-load cooling hours per year. Heating assumes the delivered heat represented by 600 therms through the selected existing furnace, or 30 million Btu of heat-pump output, for a 3-ton example. Loads scale with the selected size; lighter/heavier use is 25% below/above this example. These are illustrative assumptions, not measured Atlanta household averages.
We apply the selected verified equipment example’s efficiency to that load. Other sizes and equipment combinations can have different certified ratings; this is not a certificate for every size. Your proposal’s exact matched system determines the final rating. Legacy SEER and SEER2 use different test procedures; this screening estimate compares their numerical ratings directly and is approximate, not a certified conversion.
Heating compares an existing heat pump with the new matched heat pump. Electric backup heat is excluded. Fixed utility fees, accessories, maintenance, installation cost, and financing are excluded. Weather, ducts, thermostat settings, and actual usage change results. Savings are not guaranteed.
Electricity: Georgia residential July 2026 average, 16.27¢/kWh, an adjustable bill-average proxy. Gas: October 2026 published SCANA 12-month commodity example, 69.9¢/therm, not a regional average; fixed charges excluded. EIA electricity source • Georgia PSC gas source

WHAT TO EXPECT
You should not have to decode a model number to feel comfortable with your decision. Tell us what your current system is doing, which rooms bother you, and what you want to improve.
We listen, explain what we find, and walk through the equipment and installation options. You see the scope and price before approving the work. When the job is finished, we check operation and explain the controls and care.
This guide explains an equipment or package family. Your proposal identifies the actual models, capacity, accessories, installation work, and terms for your home. Ask us to walk through any difference.
It may help, but airflow, duct condition, insulation, and sizing can also be involved. Tell us about the room before choosing the replacement so we can explain what the proposed work will address.
Yes. Ask us to explain available financing options alongside the equipment choices. Financing is subject to approval and applicable terms.
