Start With Your Home’s Indoor Air Concerns
Georgia homes face humid weather, seasonal pollen and long stretches with the windows closed. Indoor air concerns can also come from cooking, cleaning products, pets, moisture or an HVAC system that needs attention.
Tell us where you notice dust, odors, stuffiness or uncomfortable humidity. We can review your HVAC setup and explain which improvements fit your home. The best approach combines controlling pollution at its source, appropriate ventilation and filtration—not a single product for every problem.
REME HALO Air Purification
Hammocks AC offers REME HALO air purification as one option within a broader indoor air quality plan. We’ll explain the model being proposed, how it works with your HVAC system and the upkeep it needs.
An air purifier does not replace a properly fitted filter, fresh-air planning or fixing a moisture source. Performance depends on the equipment, installation and conditions in your home. Ask us how purification compares with filtration or humidity control for your specific concern.

OPTIONS FOR YOUR HOME
Indoor Air Quality Services for Your Home
Media Air Filters

Capture airborne particles as air moves through your HVAC system. We match the filter cabinet and efficiency rating to your equipment’s airflow capacity, then explain replacement intervals. A higher rating only helps when your system can handle it.
Whole-Home Dehumidifiers

For a home that feels damp even when it is cool, dedicated dehumidification may help. We consider indoor humidity, AC performance and possible moisture sources before recommending equipment. Leaks or water intrusion still need to be corrected.
Steam Humidifiers

When measured indoor humidity is too low, a steam humidifier can add controlled moisture through the HVAC system. Proper sizing, controls and maintenance matter. Humidity settings should avoid condensation on windows and other cool surfaces.
HVAC UV Lights

Properly designed and installed UV lights can help control microbial growth on treated HVAC surfaces, such as a cooling coil. They support equipment care but do not replace particle filtration, cleaning or fixing the moisture that allows growth.
Energy Recovery Ventilators

An ERV brings in outdoor air and exhausts indoor air while transferring heat and some moisture between the air streams. It can support planned ventilation in a tightly sealed home. An ERV is not a substitute for a dehumidifier when humidity stays high.
Fresh-Air Systems

Bring outdoor air into your home through a planned ventilation setup. We consider airflow, filtration and how incoming air will be heated, cooled or dehumidified. In Georgia’s humid weather, simply adding more outside air can create new comfort problems.

Indoor Air Quality Questions
Which air filter is right for my HVAC system?
Start with the filter size and efficiency your HVAC system can support. EPA recommends MERV 13, or the highest rating the system can accommodate. Fit, airflow and replacement schedules matter as much as the rating. Media filters capture particles; they do not solve every odor, gas or moisture problem.
What should indoor humidity be in Georgia?
EPA recommends keeping indoor relative humidity below 60%, ideally between 30% and 50%. The right setting also depends on outdoor conditions and whether condensation develops. Measure humidity rather than guessing. Persistent dampness may call for HVAC adjustments, moisture-source repairs or a dedicated dehumidifier.
Will an air purifier or UV light fix a mold problem?
An air purifier cannot fix a leak or remove an existing mold problem. Correct the moisture source and address contaminated materials first. HVAC UV lights may help control growth on surfaces they are designed to treat, but they do not replace proper cleanup. Duct cleaning is considered when conditions justify it, rather than as a routine cure for every air-quality concern.
How much do indoor air quality improvements cost?
Cost depends on the problem, your equipment, installation requirements and the solution you choose. A media filter upgrade, steam humidifier and balanced ventilation system involve different work. We’ll explain the proposed equipment, installation and ongoing maintenance before you decide. For radon concerns, arrange a radon test; standard HVAC filters do not remove radon gas.
