AprilAire 800 Whole-Home Steam Humidifier

Static shocks, dry-feeling rooms, and gaps in woodwork can make winter comfort about more than temperature. Tell us what you are noticing. We can check the humidity and explain whether adding moisture belongs in your home’s comfort plan.

MOISTURE CONTROL, EXPLAINED
What the 800 does
The AprilAire 800 makes steam and delivers it through a compatible ducted HVAC system to add moisture to circulating air. Its output depends on the electrical configuration. We select the installation for your home instead of promising coverage from floor area alone.
Humidity and temperature are different
A warm room can still feel dry. Before recommending equipment, we look at what you are experiencing and the conditions in the home. The goal is a useful level of moisture, with settings adjusted to avoid condensation.
How it is controlled
The manufacturer’s automatic control uses indoor humidity and outdoor temperature information. We explain the actual control on your proposal, where it will be installed, and how to use it. Do not assume an existing thermostat can control every accessory.
What installation involves
This is more than placing a portable humidifier in a room. We review electrical service, water supply, drainage, duct arrangement, access, and controls. Your written estimate should spell out the equipment and work before you approve it.
Keeping Your Humidifier Running Its Best
AprilAire calls for annual steam-canister replacement and professional electrode-wire replacement every three years. We show you the maintenance requirements and explain the service plan for the installed unit.
It has a different job from your filter
A humidifier adds moisture. A media filter captures particles. REME HALO is a separate air-treatment accessory. We can explain which concern each addresses, so you understand why an option is on your estimate.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Expert Service. A Personal Touch.
You should not have to decode a model number to feel comfortable with your decision. Tell us what your current system is doing, which rooms bother you, and what you want to improve.
We listen, explain what we find, and walk through the equipment and installation options. You see the scope and price before approving the work. When the job is finished, we check operation and explain the controls and care.
A few questions worth asking
Do I need a humidifier just because I have a furnace?
No. Let us check the conditions and talk through your concerns before adding equipment.
Does this remove humidity in summer?
No. A humidifier adds moisture. If your home feels damp, that needs a different evaluation.
Can it be added to my current system?
Possibly. We need to review the existing system, utilities, installation space, and controls first.
