AprilAire Whole-Home Media Filtration
A filter choice that belongs in the whole-system conversation.
A media-filter cabinet provides a dedicated place to filter the air returning to your heating and cooling equipment. The right AprilAire cabinet and filter can be part of a replacement system or a suitable indoor-air-quality upgrade.

UNDERSTAND YOUR OPTIONS
How media filtration works
The blower draws return air through a pleated filter before circulating conditioned air back into the home. The filter captures particles that pass through it. It does not treat every surface or remove every type of gas and odor.
What MERV means
MERV describes particle-capture performance under a standard test. AprilAire offers different filter options, including MERV 11, 13, and 16 in specific products. The cabinet name alone does not tell you the rating of the filter installed.
Better filtration still needs proper airflow
We match the filter and cabinet to the airflow the system needs. Available return space, filter area, pressure drop, and access for replacement all matter. Choosing the highest number without checking the application can create a different problem.
Know what to replace
Your proposal and handover should identify the cabinet, replacement-filter number, MERV rating, and recommended inspection interval. AprilAire generally recommends annual media replacement, with timing adjusted for the filter and conditions in the home.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Expert Service. A Personal Touch.
You should not have to decode a model number to feel comfortable with your decision. Tell us what your current system is doing, which rooms bother you, and what you want to improve.
We listen, explain what we find, and walk through the equipment and installation options. You see the scope and price before approving the work. When the job is finished, we check operation and explain the controls and care.
A few questions worth asking
Is this the exact system on my proposal?
This guide explains an equipment or package family. Your proposal identifies the actual models, capacity, accessories, installation work, and terms for your home. Ask us to walk through any difference.
Will a higher-efficiency system fix an uncomfortable room?
It may help, but airflow, duct condition, insulation, and sizing can also be involved. Tell us about the room before choosing the replacement so we can explain what the proposed work will address.
Can I compare payment options?
Yes. Ask us to explain available financing options alongside the equipment choices. Financing is subject to approval and applicable terms.
